Management in IT

Are you working in the Indian IT companies?
Are you a solution provider?
Then please read it....It will help you a lot....
If you just joined the IT companies then do not underestimate yourself. You are the main resource of the industry and managers as well.
Before discussing this lets see what definition says about management.
“A group of individuals who take the decisions about how the business runs and those are the ones who guide the business with proper resources.”
“In low level management, managers deal with resources that provide or innovate the products to the organization"
How to make effective management in IT industry?
•Management is a skill which drives the resources to make working in a right direction with keep in mind the employee interest.
To improve the productivity, managers need to manage and look between employee’s interest and organization interest.
Do's for Managers: ---
•Talk in polite manner with the employee •Always be a good listener
•Manager should be able to treat the employee in such a manner that employee feels his/her responsibility towards work. • Managers should have face to face meetings with employee at least once in a week
•Should always appreciate employee for his/ her achievements.
•Should always motivate the employee. •Respect each and individual. •Understand employee’s problems as well. •Respect employee’s ideas always. •Help if they want from Managers.
•Sometime talk about personal life of employee and try to be friendly.
•Arrange group activities once in a month. •Provide all the resources required and help them at any point of time

Don’ts for Managers: ---

•Never shout on employee, remember every one is having his/her own ego. •Do not assign high priority work always. •Do not make every work as high priority work. •Do not finger out on the employee.
•Do not force them to work on weekend every time until it is very important. •Remember if you loose the faith, you loose the employee as well. •Never show disappointment for employee’s failure. •Control your emotions and face expressions

So above points which are written from my own experiences will help you to be a good manager for employees and for organization as well.
In the end I would like to add the following comment given by Bill Gates:-
Employee leaves the managers not the company---Bill gates.
